"Why to refer to a book by a French philosopher, surrealist writer and erotic novelist Georges Bataille when talking about a Finnish artist Aurora Reinhard? Her art can be seen as a continuation of Bataille’s study of eroticism and transgression in contemporary field of vision. But there are two significant differences in their approaches: Aurora is not only looking at the others – she is looking and showing herself, too; and she mostly explores female experiences – from self-construction to social disguise."
